Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
astronamha (“we”, “our”) is a Vedic astrology, numerology and tarot app, available at astronamha.com and as the astronamha app for iPhone and Android. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and how you can delete it. We do not sell your data, show ads or use advertising trackers.
1. Information we collect
| Sign-in with Google | Only your email address and a Google account identifier, through Google’s “openid” and “email” permissions. We never see your Google password, contacts, files, calendar or any other Google data. |
|---|---|
| Sign in with Apple | In the iPhone app, only the stable Apple account identifier and — if you choose to share it — the email address Apple gives us (this can be Apple’s private relay address). We never see your Apple password. If you hide your email, we receive none. |
| Sign-in | You sign in with Google or Apple. Guest mode has been removed; a phone that still has an old guest session keeps a random anonymous ID in a cookie until it signs in. |
| Name checks | When you read a name, it is sent to our server to calculate the reading and is not stored. To count your free checks we keep only a one-way code made from the name for the current month. |
| Profiles you add | Name, date of birth, time of birth (optional), place of birth and gender (optional), for up to 5 profiles. We need these to calculate your horoscope. |
| On your device | Your language choice, your profile picture (kept only on your phone), and the last app you opened. |
| Mobile numerology | When you check a mobile number, it is sent to our server to calculate the reading and is not stored. To count your free checks we keep only a one-way code made from the number (it cannot be turned back into the number) for the current month. If you tap Save, we keep the finished reading with the number shown as its last 4 digits only, encrypted, until you delete it. |
| “Did it come true?” | If you answer whether a reading came true, we store only the day, the life area, yes / no and how good the day looked (good, steady or careful) — no name, email or account id. Your own answers are also kept on your phone to show your weekly count. |
| Morning notifications | In the Android and iPhone apps you can switch on a morning reading. The notes are scheduled on your phone from your own readings; no push service or advertising id is used, and you can switch them off in Settings at any time. Panchang alerts (Rahu Kaal, Ekadashi, Purnima, Amavasya) work the same way: you choose which ones and how early, and they are scheduled on your phone. |
| Panchang place | The Panchang uses the city of your birth details. You may pick another city, or let the app use your current position (rounded to about 1 km); that place is kept only on your phone and sent with each Panchang request to work out sunrise and the day's timings. It is not stored on our server. |
| About you | If you answer “About you” (what you do, your love life, what matters most), the answers are stored encrypted with that birth profile and used only to choose the words of your readings. |
| Feedback | If you rate the app or send a suggestion from Settings, we store the rating, your text, the account type (guest, Google or Apple) and the time. By default your name, email and account id are not attached. If you tick “You may reply to me” (Google or Apple accounts only), your sign-in email is stored with that feedback so we can reply; you can ask us to delete it. |
| Family accounts | The owner of astronamha may add a family member’s Google or Apple email as a Family account. That account gets Premium unlocked in Simple mode with limits the owner sets, and the app shows a notice about this. For these accounts only, we record the time of sign-in, sign-out and “app open” (so the owner can see when the account was used). We do not record which screens or readings were opened, profiles, names or numbers. The owner can remove a Family account at any time, which also deletes its log. The email list and logs are stored encrypted. |
| Live weather background | If you allow location access, the app sends your approximate position (rounded to about 1 km) to our server, which asks the Open-Meteo weather service for the current weather. It is used only to choose the background effect (rain, fog, clouds…) and is not stored. You can turn this off, or pick a weather yourself, in Settings. The app asks your phone for this permission only when the weather background is on. |
| Place search | When you type a birth city, the text you type is sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding service to find the place. No other personal data is sent with it. |
2. How we use it
- To sign you in and keep you signed in on your device.
- To calculate and show your personalised daily, weekly, monthly and yearly readings, chart and panchang.
- To keep your saved profiles available when you come back or use another device (Google or Apple sign-in).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (for example rate limiting).
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for third parties, or training AI models.
3. Google user data
astronamha’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use your Google email only to identify your account. We do not share it with anyone, sell it, or use it for advertising.
4. How your data is protected
- Birth details are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before they are stored. The database does not hold your name, email, date or place in readable form.
- All traffic uses HTTPS. The session cookie is HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite.
- Calculations run on our server; the app only receives the finished reading.
5. Where data is stored and who processes it
We use these service providers only to run the app: Cloudflare (website hosting and the encrypted database), Render (the server that calculates readings), Google and Apple (sign-in) and Open-Meteo (place search and current weather). They process data only on our behalf. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, except if the law requires it.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use one essential cookie (astro_user) to keep you signed in, and your device’s local storage (browser or app) for your language and picture. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
7. How long we keep it
Until you delete it. If you leave guest mode, the guest’s saved profiles are deleted. If you tap Delete my data on the Profile page, all saved profiles of your account are deleted.
8. Your choices and rights
- View, edit or delete any profile in the app (Profile page).
- Delete all your saved data: Profile → Delete my data (also described at astronamha.com/delete-account).
- Sign out any time from the Profile page or the menu.
- Apple: remove astronamha in Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
- Remove astronamha’s access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- For any other request (access, correction, deletion), email us at the address below.
9. Children
astronamha is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Teens aged 13 and over may use a Family account only with the knowledge of their parent or guardian, who is the owner who added them, and who sees only the sign-in times described above. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Entertainment only
Readings are for guidance and entertainment. They are not medical, legal or financial advice.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will also be shown in the app.
